Mobile Ordering Now Available At Walt Disney World
Mobile ordering is a great new feature that has been added to the My Disney Experience app. I recently visited Walt Disney World. Like any restaurant, during meal times, they are busy. As I entered the never-ending line, I remembered a new feature that Disney is offering through the My Disney Experience app. I opened the app and opened the mobile ordering feature. As I stood in line, I ordered my meal and paid for it. Then I got out of line and went to a special area designated for mobile ordering pick-up. I had my meal within a few minutes and bypassed quite a few people in line.
Had I been thinking ahead of the game, I wouldn’t have ever entered the regular line at all. I would have ordered my food before getting in line. You have a couple options with mobile ordering. You can either look up restaurants that are close to you, or you can find a specific restaurant where you want to eat. Once you find your restaurant, you are going to select meal options for everyone in the party. If you are on the dining plan, your meal credits will be deducted. If you are not, you will have to have a credit/debit card attached to your account to use this feature. Once you have completed ordering, you will be prompted to go to the restaurant or select that you are at the restaurant and want to get your food. If you are traveling with people on multiple reservations, you will each need to order separately.
At the restaurant, there is a special counter for mobile order pick-ups. Do not enter the regular stand by line. You will receive notifications on your phone to let you know when your meal is ready. You simply walk up to the counter and get your food when you receive your notification. The cast member will also announce that your food order is ready.
Mobile ordering is only available at quick serve restaurants. At this time, it is also not available at all locations. This is great timesaver, though, and I highly recommend taking advantage of this new feature where available. To learn more about this feature and other Disney World tips, visit our site today.
